Då är det dags att börja blogga. Det är väll nått alla har gjort de senaste åren men som man har hållit sig borta från men nu är man där själv. Så vem är Johan Ivarsson? Jag är en Svensk simmare som började mina första simtag i Timrå Simhall där jag sedan började simma klubb också för Timrå Simklubb. Min tid i Timrå SK blev dock inte väldigt lång. Det var vid 6 års ålder som jag började träna och först vid 7 års ålder som jag tävlade första gången i Matfors och lyckades ta ett silver på 25 ryggsim. Jag simmade även senare under dagen 25 bröstsim där jag blev diskad på grund av frisimsspark i bentagen i början av loppet och de som känner mig väl har väll sett hur min bröstimskarriär har gått därifrån, det går fortfarande brant neråt på kan man väll säga. När jag var 12 år kvalade jag för första gången till SUMSIM och tog Timrås första SM poäng på väldigt länge med en fjärdeplats på 100m ryggsim och en åttondeplats på 100m frisim. Året därefter simmade jag för Sundsvalls Simsällskap som jag har spenderat dom sista åren simmandes för. Jag har därefter vunnit 100m ryggsim och 100m frisim ett flertal gånger på Sum Sim samt tagit medaljer på en hel del andra distanser med olika valörer.
2007 Var första året jag lyckades ta en Junior SM medalj, det var under långbane SM i Halmstad där jag överraskade mig själv och lyckades ta ett Brons på 200m ryggsim. Det var ett speciellt sätt jag lyckades kamma hem den medaljen då jag simmade i det näst sista juniorheatet med 8 snabbare killar framför mig. Jag låg i avbadningsbassängen när det snabbare gänget gick i mål då en av dom andra killarna från mitt heat frågade vad jag hade gjort för tid. Det räckte till ett brons och det blev en hel del glädjeskutt i avbadningsbassängen efter det. Jag hade ledarbanan inför finalen samma kväll. Det var en otrolig upplevelse att få gå in inmarschen och stå där i SM final på bana 4 för första gången. Jag slutade den finalen på en 4 plats med en jämförbar tid med vad jag gjorde under morgonens simningar. 2009 fick jag uppleva ungefär samma sak som 2007 då jag fick ett riktigt bra 100m ryggsim rankad som 9 av juniorerna, hade ledarbanan på morgonen i näst sista heatet och fick till ett riktigt bra lopp. Jag gör 59.18 och har en bra ledning inför sista heatet och jag funderar på vad dom kan göra för tider så smyger upp bakifrån startbryggan och står lite vid sidan om med några tränare jag har haft på Riksläger och annat tidigare i mitt liv. Det ser bra ut och dom börjar komma in mot mål och klockan räknar upp, ser vid 50s att dom har en bra bit kvar. Jag ser Kristian Kron gå i mål och jag har sett klockan slå över till 59. efter 59 kommer 49 upp och jag står där och stirrar på resultattavlan en bra stund och tittar mig omkring helt oförstående och undrar om det räcker. En av tränarna bredvid mig frågar efter min tid precis som i avbadningsbassängen två år tidigare och han går fram till mig. Grattis Johan du vann JSM du leder till final. Först då kommer alla känslor och jag inser att det räcker till att vinna JSM. Kommer även denna gång 4 på Seniorfinalen men gör inte en jämförbar tid med morgonen då jag lyckas missa vändningen totalt och simmar en del långsammare än vad jag gjorde under morgonen. Surt sa räven men jag kommer simma det några gånger till i mitt liv. Tack vare detta JSM guld fick jag ett väldigt bra erbjudande om stipendium för att studera i USA och det är där jag är nu. Mycket har hänt sedan sommaren och jag tränar, bor, lever och studerar i Phoenix, Arizona. Som en person som hatar snö och vinter kan jag säga att jag har hamnat helt rätt med 340 soldagar per år.
Under resans gång har jag även ett flertal gånger representerat Sverige med dess Junior och Ungdomslandslag och fått sett Färöarna, Madrid, Paris, Tammerfors och även någon hemmatävling. Hoppas jag i framtiden kan få representera Sverige igen och fortsätta min historia. Jag simmar för tillfället för Grand Canyon University vilket är en division 2 skola i National College Athlete Association. Jag har kvalat in till NCAA Nationals och är för tillfället rankad 5 och hoppas att jag kan förbättra det när det drar ihop sig till mästerskap. Bara 6 veckor kvar och just nu ligger jag i fas till förbättring men längs vägen ska jag först till Colorado och simma Conference och har två försök att kvala in mig på 200m fr vilket är ett mål.
