600Året är 2009, året då jag på allvar ska komma tillbaka i form efter min skada 2007! Jag börjar säsongen med snabba 10.84 i kraftig motvind! Andra tävlingen springer jag i Stockholm på beskedliga 10.96 med motvind o kyla! Samtidigt i Växjö får killarna perfekta förhållande med värme och perfekta vindar! Killarna springer på riktigt bra tider! Detta gör att jag hamnar lite utanför snacket för att komma med i stafett-laget på Lag-EM. Men jag skulle få en chans, helgen efter i Karlskrona. Eller chans o chans, jag trodde det iallafall. Tills jag kommer fram till tävlingen och träffar killen som jag ska tävla om platsen med. Får då veta att det från ledningen har sagts att det inte räcker att jag slår honom utan måste även springa på en bättre tid än han gjort. Omöjligt då det öste ner och var motvind! Tack och adjö för den gången. Bet i det sura äpplet och fortsatte säsongen! Motvinden fortsatte i 8-9 tävlingar innan jag äntligen helgen innan SM satte nytt personbästa med 10.71 och sedan på SM blev 4a även där på nytt personbästa 10.70.
Nästa besvikelse kom vid uttagningen till stafetten på Finnkampen. Då jag blev 4a på SM så hoppades jag få chansen. Finalen såg ut så här på SM:

Så inför säsongen 2010 ville vi ha en observationstävling tidigt på säsongen för att få en rättvis uttagning till Lag-EM stafetten, vi fick som jag önska. Observationstävling blev Folksam Challenge tävlingen i Sävedalen 6 Juni. Den helgen var det först tänkt att jag skulle få åka till Polen och tävla på en stor tävling där, men head coach Lech Nikitin i klubben ville jag skulle åka till Sävedalen för att möta de andra och ha chansen att slå mig in i laget. Väl på plats så dyker inte Stefan Tärnhuvud upp, ok tycker jag, han är given ändå. Sen får man veta att Tom Kling Baptiste inte kommer för han sprang dagen innan i Frankrike. Slutar med att jag springer på nytt personbästa 10.68 och tycker väl själv att jag borde ha slått mig in i laget. Men både jag och coach säger typ “undrar vad dom ska hitta på denna gången för att inte ta med dig..” . Längst in känner jag att dom inte kommer ta med mig men efter ett kort snack med sprintansvarig via chatt så får man ändå upp lite hopp. Han sa att vi får besked på Söndag.

Får SMS från sprintansvarig om att han också är frågande till uttagningen och att sista ordet inte är sagt.
Idag så får jag samtal från både förbundskapten Stefan Olsson och sprintansvarig Anders Palmqvist som vill förklara läget. “Palmas” säger att Alexanders tid 21.40 i tisdags på 200m ansågs bättre än mina 10.68 på 100m… Är det 100 eller 200 vi ska springa kan man undra? Och att Fredrik står som reserv då han redan är på plats för att springa 4*400m. Kanske dags att bredda satsningen på korta stafetten, att satsa på 4 killar är väl lite lite, en skada och dom kan kamma sig! Och ställde frågan till Stefan om observationstävlingarna inte spelar någon roll? Fick svaret: nej dom spelar ingen roll!
Känns ju lönt att man stannade och tävlade i Sverige!!!!!
Jag undrar hur dom hade resonerat om jag åkt upp till Eskilstuna som det var planerat och sprungit 200m och t.ex. slagit Oscar där, Hade då jag räknats före i stafetten?
