Malmö AI och Göta har dominerat de senaste år men sen ifjol så har Göta tappat nästan hela laget och jag tror dom kommer ha väldigt liten chans till att kunna slåss om medaljerna i år. Även Malmö AI har tappat några viktiga kuggar men har i år täckt upp luckorna med 2 gamla rävar! Det ryktas om att Jimisola Laursen ( Svenskt rekord på 400m inomhus ) och Patrik Lövgren, en av 2000-talets snabbaste svenskar med personbästa så bra som 10.26, gör comeback! Nästa lag i kamp om medaljerna blir Ullevi som med många unga killar som alla håller en bra standard återigen kan lyckas slå sig in på pallen. En outsider som jag tror nästan borde räknas som favorit är Huddinge. Med Sveriges snabbaste kille på 60m i vintras , Tom-Kling Baptiste och den enorma talangen Alexander Nordqvist i laget kan dom tillsammans ställa till det rejält för resten av klubbarna! Spårvägen har tagit medalj de 2 senaste åren. Ifjol tog vi ett brons vilket kändes lite som en besvikelse. Vi sprang bra i försöken och kände att vi hade chans på guld om alla sprang på topp. Laget bestod av Juan Pettersson på första, jag på andrastreckan, Mattias Sunneborn på tredje och Tomek Nikitin på sista. Ett starkt lag! Men inför finalen så kände jag mig inte helt 100 i baksidan när vi väl kom ut på banorna. Då var det för sent att ändra på någonting så jag sprang men väldigt avslappnat. Vi tappa mycket tid på det och borde iaf ha tagit hem silvret, saknades bara 5 hundradelar.
I år blir vi ett helt nytt lag. Mattias är iväg, Tomek är inte hel och Juan har blivit sjuk. Men vi får tillbaks Joakim Blaschke, runt 14 SM-Silver på 110mH och 60mH. Upp från juniorerna hämtar vi vår egen Jamaican Jay Drummond och sist men inte minst sätter vi in min tränare Modou Colley! Jag skulle gissa på att vi sätter upp laget på följande vis:
Blaschke -- Colley -- Jay -- Zail
Det skulle vara grymt att få uppleva ett liknande scenario som 2008. Då sprang jag också sista sträckan och när jag fick pinnen låg vi 2a men lyckades komma förbi och fick lyfta händerna i luften som segrare! SM-Guld!!
