HATERS PART 2 FINAL CHAPTER

20 November, 2009

2.   what is my background as trainer ok let me start now…….apart from having swedish champions and my club starting from nothing when I just started there then became one of the top clubs in sweden in boxing 3 years in a row (its with the help of my colleage trainers aswell so big thanks to all my colleages) I remember before I started as trainer at the club going to one show and seeing one of the clubs boxers, because they only had one at that time, he boxed so bad and fell out of the ring aswell, I remember thinking to myself ´my god I have my work cut out for me´ but then with hard work we filled the place up with boxers…. At one stage I had 30 boxers in just my group, one group in the gym had 30 boxers active, that’s more than most clubs have, in the whole club.  There were so many people in the group I had to tell people there was no place left. I would participate with 13-15 boxers JUST FROM MY GROUP at local competitions and would only get 3 people a match because there were no boxers in so many weight classes.

My trainer education consists of: I have been to greece on education seminars, cuba 3 times worked and trained with some of the best boxers in the world there, paid with my own money and went to cuba to get an education in boxing and to all that know about boxing it is not easy to go there and fix things there damn hard and you must have GOOD connections. Have been to seminars in sweden on strength training, sports psychology, boxing seminars. Have been to courses that consist of preparation training seminars, complex physical training linked with psychological effects on the training. The a great education we had was step 4 in sweden that I had the previlage to be a instructor there and that went very well good work to all the people that participated and to my colleages. SBF does great aducations for all the coachs. Have been to england at seminars, irland at trainer seminars. Have been to cuba, england, ireland, italy, france training camps with boxers. I am certain that I have forgotten a lot of things right now, but is that not enough what I wrote hehehe. I constantly have contact with other countries and get feed back about training methods, exchanging ideas and thoughts. I use there sports science department and find out things that help our preparation and develop our compitence. I work with SOK and other psysiologists and my colleages in SBF to take forward the best possible training methods for the atheletes.

In the last year of working with the national team we have won european silver and bronze, won over cubans, olympic medalist, came home with medals from nearly every tournament, except the world games damn! Hehe. Other trainers from other countries have come to me and told me that the swedish team is getting better IS better than before so that was a relief. We have been to many training camps and trained with the worlds best by doing that the boxers grow. I don’t want to take the credit for all this that is not at all what I want, it has taken the help of all the boxing clubs and trainers and people that have played a big role in the boxers preparation. I want to thank everyone for there help. One person can never succeed it’s a united methodical, relentless effort to get to the top and we are far from the top but going to get there!! What saddens me is that just as hard as we work to take steps forward people work as hard to keep us from taking steps forward. So much negative not enough positive. I don’t claim to have all the solutions but I will not sit there and argue and waste time arguing about scraps, when there is so much more important things to think about and work on. I do not dislike anyone and I am not against anyone, all I am interested in is results, if you cant contribute to getting results then……. ´Have a nice day and good luck´ if you can contribute then lets sit down and talk. I think that sweden has great boxing coachs and wih the combined help of everyone soon we will reach the level of being world ranked as a country. If we look at the world games most of the countries that got medals are not unbeatable, its not Russia and Cuba that are stealing the show anymore. With the combined effort of everyone of us, that has something to do with boxing, we can be a force in the world.

As a coach I help train some of the best if not the best martial arts atheletes in sweden and for all those that don’t know, look at the UFC results at alexander gustavsson and you will see my work. You will see how alex destroyed hes oponent with the skills I taught him. But again there, it’s a joint effort and I thank our team and people that help things happen. We fought infront of millions of tv viewers and 20,000 fans in the arena. First swedish MMA fighter to destroy hes oponent at the UFC in that way. Total destruction. So we must be doing something right!!

Take care and till next time NO PAIN!!!

HATERS PART 1

19 November, 2009

Before i make my ufc entry and tell people about the ufc experience I would like to answer some things that I have been asked.

First I would like to say thank you to the people that take the time to actually look me up and my background that means you care enough to actually give me attention. That means you take your time and energy and give it to me, to write about me and put your energy in giving me your attention and critism to me, to all the people that have been nice thank you and to all the people that have not been nice thank you too. I was wondering when the first critisms would come and they came. Prince Naseem once said ´I don’t care if you like me or hate me as long as you pay your money to come and see me then my jobb is done because you ´dislike´ me but still pay to come and see me so your money goes into MY pocket, the worst thing you could do is not care at all!´ so write about me, to me or against me its good because then I market myself more, I apreciate it. Write  comments in my blogg and give me questions no problem that means you actually care enough to give me that energy making my blogg successful thank you! That’s how it is when you are standing on top of the peak of a mountain. It always blows harder on the peak so it’s a struggle trying to stay on the peak. Thanks guys I love you and apreciate the support, I was starting to get worried that nobody cared hehehe=) but I guess you do thanks!!

I will just explain somethings that I have been asked by one person and will explain once only. Don’t have the energy to counter attack all the time, I just state it how it is accept it or not it aint no problem for me baby.

Who am I:

Who have I trained and what fighters have I contributed too what have I got for background:

1.      swedish champions: in 5 years I have gotten 8 swedish gold medals in swedish championships, I don’t count silver or bronze so if I did there would be more medals……. And if alexander gustavsson didn’t hurt hes knee in the last swedish championships he would have won too. (I have included all catagories senior, junior, youngster…………….diplom 2 diplom gold medals) and with these boxers they did not just win but they got the best boxer award most of the time for the whole tournament. Then we have other boxers that I have helped train that were not from the my club that went on to win swedish championships and those are many I can tell you that. Lets not forget the countless times that we have gotten BEST CLUB award at tournaments. People say that these boxers were from other clubs, well my friends 99% of ALL trainers take boxers from other clubs and train them. Boxers change clubs like they change t-shirts so its nothing wrong there. So don’t hate the player hate the game as they say. Hehe. Someone asked me if my picture on my site is real and critisezed me for things, hmmm………. Well my answer is ´no its photoshop I took the time to make a false photoshop pic to trick everyone hahaha´ (I am being ironic). That is not even worth an answer.  If you don’t believe me then ok no problem, thank you for your time and you don’t have to read my blogg, I promise I will not cry.

People asked me ´when did you have time to fight all those fights you are only 30 years old why is your name not in boxrec, blablablabla ect..ect..ect.. well let me explain this aswell now and lets see if it registers: There is something called unlincenced fighting (I am writing this for the benefit of the haters, so please don’t missunderstand all the others) if you know what that is then great if you don’t know what unlicenced fighting is……….. find out, I am not here to school you on my past. But if you are wondering then they were NOT registered (thus calling it unlicenced)…… but sure its photoshop again (ironic now), but if you want I can come to your home with my portfolio of news paper clippings and magasins and tapes when I fought and we can have a fika together and you can see that I don’t bullshit. I have boxed since the age of 6-7 years old, cubans have around 200matchs when they are about 16years old. When I was in ireland on the round robin tournament for school boys the minimum fights that the boys had at 15 was 110! Its only here in sweden that we start fighting real fights at 15 years old. I have had so many unlicenced fights sometimes fought once every week. Have trained with the likes of many professional fighters including Trever Ambros, Juliace Frances……ect…. So I hope that this explains something to you if not then keep writing and making my blog popular and one day when I have the energy to answer the hating I will=). My father is a promoter in the USA has been there 6 years now. He was in Mike Arnaoutis corner when he boxed for the world championship against Ricardo Torres at the MGM grand casino Las Vegas. But that is another story that I don’t care to talk about because it is private. But trust me boys and girls it aint no bluff and I don’t bullshit. Believe it or not its up to you, but just keep on writing here or on your own webbsites about me because the worst thing is to not say anything, saying something creates attention and that’s great thanks.

FUNDAMENTAL FUNCTIONAL POWER/ ENDURANCE

7 November, 2009

whats crackerlacking boys and girls,

today before i start writing i would like to go through what i will be writing about becuase there is some issues that i keep getting asked about so i will answer the questions, thanks for your nice comments on my blogg, i have never blogged before so this is new to me so i am greatful for the support, you know i am OLD SCHOOL hehe so takes time to get use to this hehe.

subjects i will adress:

  • everyone keeps asking me what is the best strength/endurance training system
  • who do i train (what atheletes)

lets take the first point: what is the best system/form of training to use to get power and speed. Hmmmm…well the answer is simple in my opinion a mixture of everything (crossfit, powerlifting, kettlebell training, running intervals + hill work, ect………. ). a good coach uses one system and gets good results, a great coach picks apart many forms of training and makes an individual program for his athelete that makes that person get gorilla strength/endurance. a good athelete needs speed, flexibility, power, explosiveness, focus, techinique, conditioning. you cannot work all of these all the time at the same time. periodizing your training focuses on specific aspects of what you are after at that moment in your scheduled season. doing circuits all the time, ´500 rep´ on each excercize is not so optimal if you want to get strong or fast explosiveness. lactic acid training is the most brutal type of training and its good when you are under that period. as you can see from the video  i have under, joe defranco is a strength coach and trains mostly NFL atheletes, but also wrestlers, boxers ect….. what he does is combine power with explosiveness. box jumps- you cannot jump on a box slow so jumping is an explosive movement-plyometrics. power -- look at the deadlifts and squats that they do. look at the tire flip that they do that fucking tire weighs 300kg at least. thats how you get power and explosiveness. doing alot of reps builds lactic acid and makes your perform slower and not so explosive. that is another type of training that is more into endurance, with endurance training can you put your circuits and 1million reps in at different stations, but continuesly doing that type of training increases the risk for injuries and wear and tear on your body, the same as doing heavy training can injure you aswell. everything i am saying now its documented and scientifically proven so i am not talking out of my ass. staying to one form of training you become a one form athelete. nowadays the people that win and get the gold are the ones that put forth a well planned structured `uppbyggnads´ period to COMPLEMENT their sport, and some might say this is crossfit what i am talking about, well actually not, i like alot of things that crossfit does and many think its something new but the same things i was doing more or less when i was in the national team 15years ago is used in crossfit more or less now, we documented times and circuits and learnt how to do functional/complex training ect……..  crossfit is fantastick for the average joe as they say becuase it takes time to teach them´frivändningar`, squats ect….. things that every elite athelete should know already and be doing, and treats the average joe like an elite athelete in a group based enviroment, great. great workouts, no critism to that at all. (understand now that this is no critism to any form!!) but i also like alot of things that other forms of conditioning training do aswell, so what i do i take the best that i think work best and use it in my fighting fitness and gorilla power workouts. i was at a crossfit seminar and i liked alot of things that they did can i add, they think about correct technique and very structured and hyper with there training it was good training, but now we are talking about elite atheletes and thats my interest nothing else and my conclusion is………… there is no one way miracle sorry boys and girls hehehe if it was that simple my jobb would be stress free. BUT ITS NOT!! i am not saying that something is bad now dont missunderstand me i am just saying what i have seen around the world and what sportscientists come up with for the other national teams for there strength training. i have an open mind about alot of things so that i can use the best from every form to my advantage.

i have alot of friends and colleages  that teach and love crossfit so one love baby, at the end of the day whatever works for you and makes you money, do it!! nothing wrong with that, if it works for you in your training then fine, if it makes you money great. keep it up then. but nothing is new of all this, nothing, maybe the packaging is new but the core is all the same.

this video is what i call strength training. NFL atheletes must be powerful, explosive and mobile jut like most other sports. so its great:

who do i train/ trained:

  • alexander gustavsson UFC fighter and all the stockholm shoot sasha, jonatan, nicho, pontus, netos ect…(one love my boys)
  • reza mad dog, muhammed, omid, navid, musse (rallarssving) sorry bad with names hehehe ect………..
  • swedish national boxing team some of those boxers are ranked in the top 20 in the world, babacar kamara, naim terbunja, bashir hassan, salomon ntuve, leon chartoi, kennedy katende ect………..
  • ebba nyberg swimmer one of the best
  • some tennis players one of them won silver in the junior olympics women
  • and my average joe clients that give me there loyalty and support when i kick there ass in training

i am sure that i have forgotten someone…………..hmmmm well this is what i can remember now.

anyway i am tired now just coming back from training alexander gustavsson from gbg. he is in great shape, thats one bad mother fucker i can tell you, vicious and a killer striker. got pain in my hands from holding pads for him. good work alex!!

take care and NO PAIN!!

INTRODUCTION TO GREATNESS

2 November, 2009

Hello my names is Andreas Michael I am the national coach of the swedish boxing team and an olympic boxing coach. We have currently four people in the top talent selection team and hopefully by next year, fingers crossed, we will have two more making it six all together. I have been boxing all my life and as a junior had about 100 amateur matchs, mostly unlicenced, by the age of 19 I turned professional and was on the road to becoming a promising professional fighter, had 18 unlicenced professional fights and had an opportunity to sign a promotional contract with Lennox Lewis promotions and was on the road to a great great future, undefeated and in a hurry to be the best of the best………….. with an accident all my dreams disappeared and I could not box anymore so after a few years of soul searching I came back to the thing I love and can do bes,t coaching and boxing. In the space of 4 years I had eight swedish champions, ten of my boxers just from my group were ranked in the top 5 in sweden, I was training the top MMA fighters sweden and other atheletes in other sports. After two years as national coach I got the offer to coach the senior national swedish boxing team and work with SOK. I accepted this january, so lets see how long I will last in this political war. I am no politician, what I have to say I say it and it is not always working for me so my mouth gets me in trouble sometimes, but I don’t like arguing I like working hard to get results and we have done great the last 1 and a half years, more medals continuesly won than any other time in the last 7 years. So something is going right. With the help of SOK (great suport from them thank you) and my colleges (Erik Bredler thanks man for your support gots your back man) we will be a force in the world!!

I fought many wars in my time; some for money, some for power, some for greed but the best reason to fight is the reason for the ´love of the game´. The sole reason being to become the best and love doing what you do on the road to becoming the best. That is what makes you survive the pain and the torture of the training and the mental pressure that 99% of the ´normal´ people cannot cope with. Competing because ´you love what you do´ makes more sense than anything else, by this I mean there will come a time in everyones career when you ask yourself why the fuck am I doing this, I am not getting richer and I am living a harder life because everything around me is influenced by the sport that I do. If you don’t know the answer to that then you are in trouble by someone that does know the answer to that question and is in your sport. People that love what they do are the ones that last the longest and become legendary…….. complaints and excuses are weakening self indulging weaknesses that do not make you conquer giants but get you conquered by giants. If you know that you can do better than do it and shut the fuck up with the complaints, that’s my reasoning, as you can see I am not from here so my psychology is not so heart warming. But I have been to russia, cuba, ireland, england, france, thailand, poland, bulgaria, italy and many many more countries ect………… worked in cuba and training together with 8 olympic gold champions I noticed one pattern that all succesful teams have, they don’t accept any bullshit athelete or coach want to actually do the best they can do at any given moment. They work till they can’t do no more than get pushed to do a little more. The body is a mighty weapon if you optimize it’s capacity, you can achieve whatever you want to believe that you can achieve, it is you that limits your own self because there are no limits to what a person and a mind can do. That I believe in with all my heart. Saying you could have done better or that it was this and this that was wrong, that’s why you didn’t perform or that the judges were scoring wrong or the food you ate last night or your weight was too much so when you took it off you were tired or that you were tired or that you mentally was not there ect…… well guess what the guy that kicked your ass was feeling great and broke your back that’s why he is first and you are not, so what do you do to fix that? Do you think that your opponent you lost against is made of iron or stone or fire, I bet he feels like shit aswell and bleeds when you bleed and cries when you cry aswell, so whats the problem? Why does he win and you loose? That is something that you has to ask yourself, especially when you are training just as hard and have the same opportunities as him or even more opportunities than him. That is something you have to ask yourself, how much do you want it!

I think the worst thing that I can hear as a coach is negativity and complaints. If one person complains and is negative in a group than it spreads like a hurricane and infects the others aswell. My english national coach friend once told me, ´if you see a wound on a finger try and heal it, if it doesn’t heal then cut the finger off before it infects the whole hand, its ok you got nine other fingers left.. hehehe you will survive´. That is so true! I would rather be disliked and get medals for my team than liked and come home with nothing, because by getting medals I create futures for the boys I train and I give them the reward they worked so so hard for. As a coach if I do my job properly then I will definitely not be liked all the time, but being liked and being respected are two different things. All great coaches actually are not that liked because they have to make hard decisions that might not be so popular. But its not `who has the most friends´competition. The competition is us – VS – the WORLD so to compete with the best you must be a well tuned machine as a team or as an individual. Stepping out of line (because all of us are human and make mistakes) gets you an ass whipping that helps you get in line again or makes you wake up and jump off your comfort zone. Makes you fight for your position and makes you sharp and that’s my job to get the best out of you. To do that we can’t be BFFs hahaha.

Anyway take care and this is my introduction to greatness, remember one thing about training, WHEN IT HURTS THAT’S WHEN IT WORKS, NO PAIN IS TO MUCH SO THAT IT IS NOT WORTH ENDURING TO GET TO THE TOP, NO PAIN!! NO PAIN!!
