86Nu sitter jag på hotellrummet ute i öknen fortfarande och har tagit beslutet att inte låta hästarna komma över.
Efter mycket strul med det oseriösa flygbolaget har jag nu beslutat att inte skicka över mina hästar till Dubai, de andra svenska ryttarna Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, Henrik von Eckerman och Jannike West har skickat över sina hästar och de får rida utan mig i laget. Efter allt snack om att planet absolut inte kunde landa i Leipzig och hästarna fick resa tvärs över Europa igen till Amsterdam, så landade planet iallafall i Lepzig. Tydligen var de tvungna att tanka planet, men piloten hade inte ens pengar att betala för bränslet och jag vet inte hur de fick till det till sist. Sedan efter flera timmar landade de till sist i Amsterdam. Mina hästar stod uppstallde vid ett hästhotell bredvid flygplatsen, de behövde ändå vila hursomhelst, vare sig de skulle flyga eller åka hem till Sverige. Efter att ha hört alla historier och dåliga erfarenheter från de andra ryttarna om hur deras resa varit med hästarna och använt uteslutningsmetoden och magkänslan var det inget tvivel på att mina hästar inte skulle åka. Det kändes inte rätt och det är inte särskilt logiskt rätt iheller. Visst, det finns pengar att vinna och visst det är sol och bad. Men det är inget som ändrar mitt beslut över hästarnas bästa och det finns inga bra förutsättningar att prestera på topp. Det är bara slöseri på tid och pengar. Tydligen fick planet som anlände idag vid lunch nödlanda i Beirut i två timmar utöver de sju timmar det tar att flyga, och inkludera också 4 timmars på och avlastning på det, varmt klimat och med tre dagars resande runt Europa i bagaget. Dessutom dröjer det ytterliggare fem dagar efter tävlingens slut tills de är hemma, om de ens kommer hem, känns inte som någon bryr sig om hästarna kommer hem när de knappt bryr sig om de kommer fram i tid innan tävlingen. Hästar tål mer än vad vi tror, men jag vill inte ta risker inför kommande tävlingar och framförallt Göteborg om tre veckor.
Hursomhelst är jag fast här iallafall, för jag kan inte komma hem p.g.a snöovädret därhemma. Hoppas att hästarna kommer väl hem nu. 12 timmar tar det från Amsterdam till Linderöd. Det har varit tuffa dygn för min hästskötare Ida, hon är rätt trött nu innan den långa hemresan och liksom alla vi andra i familjen, väldigt besvikna… Så jag vet inte hur länge jag blir kvar här, men jag får njuta av värmen här. Det finns alltid något positivt, för vem vill hem och frysa igen när det är 30 grader här nere. Men visst, det är slöseri med tid, så jag har mycket tid att blogga…! Nu har jag varit uppe och tränat i hotellgymmet och kört:
